Acknowledgements!

BULA would like to thank the Gganda community for the support and generosity they showed us throughout the construction project and to all of the workers, suppliers, and tradesmen who were committed to excellence in their work!

Special thanks to all those who are working to help BULA support the children of St. Kizito Primary School. We would like to extend our appreciation in particular to:

Tom Harrison(London, England – Habitation
  • Special thanks to Tim Hoggins and Eve Murzyn with Architecture for Humanity for advising us on the many structural intricacies of the project.  They helped BULA to build not only beautiful and bright school, but one that is structurally sound!
  • Volunteer, David Burton (Edmonton, Canada), living in the village, extending his stay in Uganda twice, devoted countless hours to this project.  We will forever be grateful for the knowledge and the management he tirelessly offered to the project.
  • Volunteer, Andrea Procopio of Camp Hill, PA, who worked alongside Melissa, assisting in the many tasks involved in managing this project.  During this time, she not only demonstrated her dedication to the project, the children and the community but also her enduring commitment to the broader goals that BULA strives to achieve.  Such devotion has evolved into a more prominent and permanent relationship with the organization as she now serves as Vice President.
  • Volunteers Walker Williams (Richmond, VA) and Heather Kitchen (Edmonton, Canada) who offered their assistance throughout the project.  Juggling several responsibilities at the children’s home and elsewhere, they offered so much to the project and they have made a tremendous impact on its success.
  • Karen McGinley for her time spent creating an image to represent our cause. Her artistic vision captured all of BULA's beliefs, goals, and hopes. The design is displayed on our website, is presently on our organization's tee shirts and also on the cover of "A Recipe for a Future.
  • Chelsea Erdmanis and Northampton Presbyterian Church for putting together such a wonderful concert to support our cause.
  • Dennis and Mary Elizabeth Roarke for opening their home for the Cookbook Party.
  • Carolyn Gallogly and Robert Bright for graciously offering to host a Wine and Cheese Party in honor of BULA.
  • Christopher Whitehead for thinking of BULA during the holiday season and encouraging support for the cause in Manayunk.
  • The Youth Council of Patchogue-Medford Youth and Community Services for their enthusiasm and support!
  • James Ogle, and Clearview Media Inc. for the production of this video!  You were able to capture the project in a perfect twelve minute piece that continues to bring tears.  We can now share this project and our cause in a more tangible way.  We cannot thank you enough!
  • Frank Fumarola and all those that worked with him on the development of this website.

The collective effort of the community and the above volunteers made the on site construction such success and the collective effort of the communities and individuals supporting BULA made it all possible.

Thank you to all!!!
